What I learnt from blogging

Speak your mind and express your thoughts and ideas through blogging ,its so simple like eating cake .All thanks to Ms Pritchard our media studies lecture broke down all the fundamental things we need know about blogging and this has helped me to understand more about blogging and things you have to apply whenever you blog .

Ms Pritchard stated that Whenever you blog never intentionally deceive others and yet be accountable for what you post because as a blogger you have to have to reason to all comments  about what you posted .Don't restrict access  to certain people from posting on your blog, encourage people to comment, build relationships by responding to emails and comments therefore by doing you enable to find you more credible and they can spread a positive word of mouth about your blog.
Revealing your identity is an important factor when it comes to blogging people actually want to know the main person who is responsible for the blog that also assures credibility.

1. Create a Blog

Firstly create a blog and briefly highlight what your blog will be about ,provide a brief a statement about yourself and reveal your personal affiliations and conflicts of interest ,blogging requires orientation ,information and action. Whenever you blog do not be formal ,use a conversational tone that allows the target publics to be in comfortable state to comment

2. Consistently Posts

Be Active and consistent post at least three times a week, preferably every other day, in order to keep people interested don't just post after a while because that will make your target to lose interest ,the more you active the more the audience also gets active ,nobody likes waiting so do I .

3. Being Simple is the key

Don't get caught up in the length of your posts. They don't have to be long. They can be random thoughts or bits of news regarding your industry. make them interesting. short paragraphs and yet make sure that your grammar is correct and clear.450 words are enough ,people don't want to read lengthily posts .

4. Encourage Comments

Allow comments. You can moderate comments, but comments create the viral effect by allowing your readers to interact with you, by constantly commenting your posts its shows that you an active blogger and that makes the audience to constantly comment in order to  know more about point of view and that increase your blogs publicity .

5. Your Title must grab attention

Always be creative. Not only do they capture the attention of potential readers, but those search engines love blog titles. your blog must be able to attract people to read it

The fact is we still need journalists since they provide credible information with relevant sources and yes Lisa Buyer stated how social media has become the overall influencer but think about when journalism combines with social media to provide credible and easy accessible information how effective it will be for everyone. Journalism will forever remain important through out the digital age.
